Seismic Bracing for HVAC Equipment

Most areas of the world will be subjected to a future seismic input. The question is not if an earthquake will occur, but when and at what magnitude. Consider these recent events: The January 13 earthquake off the coast of El Salvador was a magnitude of 7.6. This earthquake killed more than 700 people and injured more than 4,000. Seventy- thousand homes were destroyed and more than 100,000 homes were damaged. Sixty-thousand people were left homeless. The next earthquake in El Salvador occurred on February 13. It had a magnitude of 6.6, caused more than 300 deaths, 4,000 injuries and affected more than 220,000...
