ASHRAE's Living Lab

The newly renovated ASHRAE headquarters boasts a diverse set of systems that provide a rich opportunity for data collection and analysis that will support a broad range of HVAC&R research and development. A separate dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) provides tempered and dehumidified ventilation air for the building. Other systems include a weather station that monitors outdoor weather conditions and a myriad of building systems that provide independent monitoring of ambient conditions. The building also produces on-site renewable energy through a roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) array that provides power back to the grid.
