Commissioning High Performance Buildings

USGBC research suggests that, for multiple reasons, 25% of LEED certified buildings do not save as much energy as their design predicted. Project teams should begin in the predesign phase, which includes a commissioning authority that implements the commissioning process, to ensure developing a sustainable, healthy, high performance building.
