Dedicated Heat Recovery

Dedicated heat recovery chillers save energy by using excess heat in hot water heating applications. With small tonnage compressors, a heat recovery chiller can use 40% less energy than running chillers and boilers. The article covers how to control the amount of heat expelled from the chiller, determine the coefficient of performance, and increase energy savings by using direct digital controls.
